Principal Peter Mason’s extensive personal architectural portfolio includes many of the finest 5 star residential and resort hotels in the world, both new built and renovations, as well as associated residential units and resort master plans. His 35 year design career includes in excess of 150 hospitality projects and several $billion in construction. He has developed an international track record of leading and managing teams of consultants to deliver complex building projects that not only meet the Client’s needs, but are also completed within budget and on schedule.
Peter’s community service includes 4 years on the Town of Woodside Architecture & Site Review Board, two of them as Chair. Peter is a former mayor and current member of the Woodside Town Council. Working with regulatory agencies throughout the United States has given him a keen understanding of the requirements for successfully expediting projects through the planning, design approval and public hearing process.
As a LEED certified architect he strives to include sustainable building practices and materials in all his projects. Peter is also a strong proponent of contextual community design and historical preservation. He successfully renovated the Biltmore Santa Barbara, a classic Reginald Johnson Spanish Colonial, and his Firm is currently involved in additions to the iconic Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.
