This family-oriented hotel is a component of an ambitious redevelopment of a heritage beachfront area in the resort destination of Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. The design references interesting elements of Dhofari architecture while featuring a play of volumes to create a clean, modern aesthetic.

The building is organized around a landscaped pool deck which opens onto the beach promenade. Its orientation maximizes views to the Arabian Sea while minimizing visual impact on the adjoining retail area and village.

The linearity of the façade is broken by shallow overhangs and rotated windows creating interesting shadow patterns and a sense of depth. The rotated windows on the long face of the building ensure protection from the harsh western sun while orienting views to the Arabian sea.

The scope includes a 175 Key Hotel and 1,300 sm Spa and Fitness.
